OPEN AIR MUSEUM ITALO BOLANO

In the ten thousand-square-metre park, in the surroundings of Villa Napoleonica di San Martino, are to be found thirty monuments by the artist Italo Bolano (1936) of Elba.

Crafted in ceramic, steel and glass, they are immersed in a Mediterranean vegetation consisting of mimosa, eucalyptus, myrtle and oleander.
Designed and created by the artist in 1965, the museum park also offers spaces for conferences, pottery workshops, open-air theatre, and the possibility to visit the studios. Environmental works by Italo Bolano are also on public display in a number of villages on the Isle of Elba.
